During the month of November, the boys & girls of Room 112 were busy as ever. In Math, they completed a unit on Patterning and began a new unit on Data Management. In Social Studies, the class continued to learn about their families and cultures. They created timelines based on a family member that they interviewed and shared the information with the rest of the class. The class also welcomed a University of Toronto OISE student teacher who spent the month co-teaching with Miss. Mishos. Finally, the students of Room 112 completed a unit on Animals and started a new unit on Solids and Liquids. For the month of November, the empathy award recipients are Alex .P. and Samia .M. September Is Finished!
The month of September was a super busy month for the boys and girls of Room 112! We have been active both in and out of the classroom. The children have, so far, been given individual reading assessements in which they performed very well on. As well, the class is working on various addition and subtraction skills and strategies in their math unit. In Science, all of the grade two's in both Miss. Mishos and Mrs. Mosonyi's classes are learning about animals and how they behave and adapt to their environments. As the first month has drawn to an end, I am happy to share that the grade two class is on its way to a very successful year.
